My name is Elena Trishina, I was born in Moscow in orthodox family. After school I started to study Orthodox Theology in the St. Tikhon University, but after two years I was thinking a lot about some orthodox doctrines and decided to continue the study later, when I am mature enough to understand, what I really believe.
I moved to Germany for a gap year in a Christian Lutheran Community in Selbitz. This year helped me to find answers for many questions, and I decided to become a part of Lutheran Church in Germany and started to study Protestant Theology in Christian Seminary in St. Petersburg in Russia. During these years I was working in the Lutheran church in Moscow with young people. Also I was volunteering three times in a French ecumenical Christian community in Taize.
In CLI I found another Christian home, which helped me to understand my walk with Jesus and I am very thankful for this.
