Sergey’s autobiography:

I was born in Ukraine, which was a part of former USSR, in 1974. I was an unbeliever like my parents and a lot of Ukrainian people now. When I was 15 years old I started to think about the goals of my life. I did not have any and it was very hard for me. I experienced different things such as alcohol, fighting, sport and girlfriends. But all the time I felt a big gap in my heart. I did not have any joy in my life. Finally I thought, maybe religion would give me some hope. I took some icons from my grandmother putting them in the corners in my home. I waited for a result but it did not come. I had one last hope. I thought, maybe reading the Bible will help me. So I started looking for a Bible but could not get one. This was 1991. But once I met one man at a train station. He had a Children’s Bible. I asked him to let me just see it. He was a pastor of Baptist Church and had New Testament for me. I read this New Testament and I understood that I needed Christ. I repented on the 19th of January 1992 and was baptized on the 5th of June 1992.
